The story of Daivadnya Samaj began in 1994, when a small yet determined group of Daivadnya Samaj Bandhus came together to form the first executive committee. Though initially unregistered, their mission was clear – to create a strong association that would represent the community’s interests and eventually establish their own Daivadnya Bhavan. Their dedication bore fruit in 1997 when the association was officially registered, giving formal recognition to their collective efforts.
The search for a permanent space began in 2003, with respected Bandhus tirelessly working to identify suitable land. Their perseverance paid off in 2006 when an appropriate plot was finally secured. The vision received vital encouragement and support from Digambar Kamat, the Honourable Chief Minister of Goa, along with Shri Madhav Bandodkar, who played significant roles in helping turn this aspiration into reality.
On October 31, 2011, Shri Digambar Kamat, the honourable ex-Chief Minister of Goa, laid the foundation stone for Daivadnya Bhavan, marking a historic milestone for the community. A dedicated construction committee was formed under the leadership of Shri Atul Verlekar as Chairman, with Engineer Shri Ram Rao Lotlikar serving as Technical Adviser. Key contributors including Shri Kishore Rivonkar, Shri Siddharth Rivonkar, and Shri Anil Bandodkar worked tirelessly to ensure the project’s successful completion.
After four years of careful planning, coordination, and construction, the long-cherished dream became a reality. Daivadnya Bhavan was inaugurated on March 8, 2015, at 11 AM in a grand ceremony, standing today as a proud symbol of unity, perseverance, and community strength.
